A while ago YnotnA discovered what is called the PaperCraft. It is a question, via this barbaric term, of recreating objects in 3D using paper. Of course, there are a multitude of different models. I let you discover his article!
I decided to stick to the heavy task of recreating one of the Priest-Dragons masks. There are different ways to shape things, the most common are made from clay or wood. Here, I would like to introduce you to a method based on paper and glue more commonly called PaperCraft. Surely you remember one of your school lessons that involved making a cube using what is called a pattern?
The idea was to put glue on the tabs and put everything together to form a cube (remember the superb Swtor-Guide holocron in this style?). Today, I offer you the model of the dragon priest mask in Skyrim. Well yes, I stay in the universe otherwise there would be no interest? As a reminder (or for those to whom it wouldn't speak), this is what looks like the in-game mask... This is what I suggest you achieve using paper and glue:
Of course, this requires a bit of preparation. You will therefore need at least:
- Paper a little thicker than a standard printing sheet
- Gel-type glue
- A cutter or a pair of scissors
- A match to access hard-to-reach places
- Le program Pepakura Viewer
- The MasqueSkyrim model
► Bonus: The boss's PDF
Pepakura Viewer is the software that helps to assemble the mask. Indeed, it is possible thanks to it to select the parts and locate them on the 3D model which can be rotated in all directions. Without it, it would probably be difficult to put the parts together:
There are a total of 8 A4 pages, in short, enough to occupy you a little while. For information, the finished model is approximately 28cm high for 18cm wide.
So who will be the first of you to present your creation? ?
