Ubisoft announced last September the release in the first quarter of 2014 ofAssassin's Creed Liberation HD As the name suggests, it's a remake of the game released last year on PS Vita at the same time as Assassin's Creed 3.
The pitch
HD Release will tell the same story as the Vita version, although some optional cutscenes have been incorporated into the main story to make it clearer.
The Templars plot (and yes again) to gain control of Louisiana and it falls to the assassin Aveline de Grandpré to stop them. She will thus have to travel to New Orleans, the Louisiana swamps and Mayan ruins using her infiltration capacity via various disguises. The game will offer the same mix of "parkour" and weapon handling as the other games in the saga. Aveline will, however, add new weapons such as a blowgun or a machete to the usual Assassins' arsenal.
An improved Vita version
Like AC3 and AC4, Liberation HD will use the AnvilNext 3D engine. According to Ubisoft, Liberation HD will offer:
- a complete graphic overhaul. The game world will be more lively both in cities with a larger crowd and in the bayou where you will meet many animals.
- remastered music and new sound effects.
- The gameplay experience will be revamped to adapt to the habits of console and PC gamers.
- 15 new missions should immerse the player deeper into Aveline's story and extend the experience.
The game is currently in development at Ubisoft Sofia - the same team that worked on the Vita version.
My opinion
- Another game that extends the universe of Assassin's Creed
- Finally has a assassin on PC and console
- A small price for hours of play
- But why didn't it come out sooner ...
My opinion, I think you know it by force, I look forward to this new installment on PC and, given the excellent reviews of the PS Vita version at the time of its release, I do not think I am disappointed. I have already made the pre-order which has been available since Monday on the Ubisoft site for € 14. Liberation HD is announced there for January 90. Suddenly you will be able to quietly link AC2014 and Liberation and wait for Watch Dogs.
