If you pre-ordered the Heavensward expansion and received your pre-order code, don't redeem it yet.

FFXIV - PS3 / PS4 - Problem with Heavensward (Update)There is currently a bug following the use of the code. Once you have used it, the extension download will start. The latter, when completed, causes the version check of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn to fail. It is then impossible to launch the game.
While waiting for a fix to arrive, don't use your code!

[PlayStation®3] [PlayStation®4] Issue with FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward (May 19)

We have confirmed that there is an issue with the download of the FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward expansion for the PlayStation®3 and PlayStation®4 consoles. This is because the downloaded content causes the version check of FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn to fail and prevents the game from starting.
* This is the data downloaded when the user entered the 12-digit pre-order code through PlayStation® Store.If you pre-ordered FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward for PlayStation®3 or PlayStation®4 consoles, please avoid '' register the 12-digit pre-order code. If you have used the code before and are experiencing this issue, please uninstall FINAL FANTASY XIV completely from your system, then download and reinstall only FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn. Please make sure that the Heavensward extension is not included in the new download. This issue is being worked on so that a fix can be implemented as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

 



Update

The problem was corrected on this morning of May 20th. Unfortunately if you have been hit and are unable to log in, you will need to reinstall Final Fantasy XIV.

- The following problem has been fixed:
Customers who pre-ordered the FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward expansion for PlayStation®3 and PlayStation®4 experienced a problem with the download. This is because after registering their product code on the PlayStation®Store, the downloaded content would cause the version check of FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn to fail and prevent the game from starting.

* This issue only affected downloads from the European PlayStation®Store. Since product code registration is not yet possible in Japan and North America, these regions are not affected by this issue.

* If you are unable to log in due to this issue, you will need to reinstall FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused and ask you to relocate your client.

Although these issues have been resolved, the registration of codes by the PlayStation® Store has been suspended. We will let you know as soon as possible when this process becomes available again.
