A new pack was released in mid-December on Planet Zoo, adding a wintery, festive vibe to Frontier's zoo simulation game. On the program four animals for the habitats, one animal for a vivarium, 250 decorative elements and a new timed scenario.
alpine ibex
This species of mountain goats lives in the alpine regions of Europe. His group must consist of only one male, or else the males will fight for the females. And as this gentleman likes to be accompanied, he can have up to 19 females by his side! The young come quickly, causing the herd to grow and therefore forcing the release or resale of the male children once they reach adulthood. Note that ibexes like to have a certain space, it is important to provide at least 1,5 km² to accommodate this large herd.
Eurasian lynx
This medium-sized feline resides in the forests and mountains of Europe and Asia. He is particularly known for his characteristic tufts at the end of his ears. He likes to live as a couple, a male and a female are enough for his happiness. For two adults, it takes almost 800 m², and of course anti-climbing fences of level 3 or more to avoid unpleasant encounters between visitors and lynx.
European suede
This ungulate occupies the grasslands and forests of Europe. The male is very recognizable with his large webbed antlers which can measure up to 60 cm. It lives in herds, each consisting of several groups of individuals, ideally one male and several females (does!). In order to satisfy everyone, it is necessary to plan a good km².

This small mustelid lives in the forests of Europe, and sometimes also ventures into parks and meadows, close to people. It lives in small family groups, with a male, a female, and several young. For the whole small group, you will need about 800m². Fun fact found in the Zoopedia, the fertilized egg can wait for a while. Thus, the same litter is often the fruit of several different males. No infidelity problems with our furry friends!
salamander tachetée
Animal for the vivarium, this small amphibian of about thirty centimeters maximum is found in European forests. He is very recognizable by his black skin with yellow spots. Another small peculiarity of its reproductive system: the female can keep the fertilized egg for 2 to 5 months after mating to wait for environmental factors more favorable to the eggs!

A new timed zoo joins the already rich catalog of Planet Zoo:
When this small resort was purchased, many commented that the mountain looked like two drops of water to the very famous Matterhorn, one of the peaks of the Alps. Its new owners have therefore had the idea of drawing inspiration from the largest cities in Europe for the decoration of the park, and ask that you introduce as many animal species as possible to their zoo before the festive season.
Can you rise to the challenge?
The objectives require installing at least 20 different habitat species in the zoo (12 are already present at the start of the game), with a general parameter of at least 75%. It is also necessary to build a locomotive attraction "Little steam train" on at least 2,5 km, have at least 3 visitors, annual profits of $000 and 18 animal presentations in one year. The main challenge comes from profitability. In order to do my article, I left the zoo running without taking care of it for quite a while, and I had monstrous debts (it goes without saying that I did not manage to recover the slope and that I I therefore had to restart a new game in order to win the challenge).
As always, this scenario offers the perfect opportunity to discover the 250 new decorative elements, inspired by major European cities such as Venice and Amsterdam. In addition, Christmas decorations, with superb light garlands, are available to create a real Christmas zoo!
Conclusion
With its five new animals, its timed zoo and its scenery elements, a new DLC for Planet Zoo that will appeal to virtual breeders. Of course, it lacks a bit of originality for us European players. Personally, I prefer the exotic touch of buildings from Asia or Africa, and I prefer to adopt animals from distant countries, which we do not see in our forests. But it's all a matter of taste and color!
