The Shadowlands prepatch arrived this October 14th and with it a lot of changes! One of the most notable concerns personalization, with significant additions!
General
We are witnessing a small overhaul of the overall interface, which I find much clearer and more pleasant. We find on the left and the right each race, on one side the Alliance and on the other the bad guys ... finally the Horde. At the same time, we can see the allied races that we have unlocked.
And at the bottom, we find the classes available for the chosen race. The little extra that I really liked: each class performs a small emblematic animation at the time of choice. The Hunter who launches a trap, the Priest who is one with the Light, the Mage who summons the elements, etc.
In detail
Each race benefits from additional customization options: hairstyles, skin colors, face shape ... I, who had always been a little frustrated, because my characters tended to look alike, I admit to being rather satisfied, even if the possibilities are still limited, especially if we compare to other MMOs, especially Asian.
Many options are also independent of each other. For example, you can choose a mustache independently of the beard, allowing a little more variety. Similar to the Worgen, it is now possible to customize the human aspect independently of the Worgen aspect.
Another small change, but very practical, a small green or red check mark next to the name, indicating whether it is available or not. Very useful to avoid having an error message each time indicating that the name has already been taken!
Druids will also be happy, because they can also customize their bear and feline form at the barber! And that's good, my Druid is a Worgen, so double personalization!
There are now drop-down menus, much more practical than the sliders before (even if you can still use the small left and right arrows). Hovering the mouse over each option allows you to quickly view the changes.
And you want even better? We can even change sex now! And guess what? All these changes are payable in po only, no purchase in the store! Nice no?
Substantial additions therefore, even if purely cosmetic. Fans of customization will certainly appreciate it, anyway!
