In Skyforge, the player's objective is to transcend their immortal condition and become a god. But what would a god be without mere mortals to worship him? The Order system will allow you to gain followers as well as stat and Prestige bonuses. It is also by this system that you will be able to use your divine form from the moment you have unlocked it, but we do not have any other information at this time.
This system is not available from the start of the game, you will have to gain Prestige before your fame among the inhabitants of Aelion is sufficient for mortals to start worshiping you.
From then on, your first followers will build you a statue in the Hall of Splendor. This is where you will have access to your first Followers.
The Adepts, your agents in the mortal world
God-in-the-making that you are, you are not going to get directly involved in mortal affairs. This is where your followers, your followers in the lower world, will come in. These followers can be recruited around your statue for credits.
From the moment you recruit him, this follower will be available in your Order interface (L key by default).
You can see that there are different types of followers, let's get into the details.
Each follower is defined by several statistics:
- His class (Templar, Agent ...) which will give a bonus according to the mission you ask him to carry out (see below)
- Its rarity (gray, green, blue or purple color)
- Son rang (I, II, III)
- His level of experience
- Its authority (“leadership”) which defines its effectiveness in carrying out missions
- His Prestige and statistics bonuses that he can bring you
One of the main functions of your followers is to complete missions for you, in order to increase your fame among the people of Aelion.
Missions, or how to make others work for you
The size of your order is symbolized by your number of followers.
In order to increase the number, you will need to send followers to carry out missions for you.
You have access to a list of several missions available by province (see below).
These missions, whose duration can vary between 15min, 1h30 and 8h, will bring you faithful, experience for your follower as well as Adept Emblems, a necessary resource for a ritual which I will discuss below. They will also ask you for resources, which can be won as adventure rewards or purchased in the Market.
In order to send a follower to complete this mission, just click on the “+” and choose the follower you want to send.
The success of the mission will depend on the authority of your follower, the latter depending on his rank and rarity. The authority will define the chances of success of the mission.
Some of his missions offer to send several followers in order to increase the chances of success and can also recommend an follower class (which will give a 50% bonus to authority if it matches).
In the case of a mission with several adepts, the experience will be distributed according to the contribution in authority. If the mission fails, the reward will be reduced.
Successful completion of a mission will increase your reputation (neutral -> good -> excellent) in the province where you completed it for a certain period of time. Any province with a reputation higher than Neutral will periodically provide you with Offerings, which are used for a ritual which I will discuss later. They are not collected automatically, so do not forget to take them.
I will end this part to say that, for credits, you can redistribute the available missions as well as speed them up.
The followers, to increase your power
Followers can give you bonus stats and Prestige. To do this, they must be assigned as voters in a province. These provinces represent important locations in Aelion and unlock as you progress through the game.
From the moment one of your followers is elected in a province, you will obtain the stat bonus and the Prestige of the latter.
In addition, you can increase your Order's hold on provinces and, in this way, increase the power bonus they will give you. For this you must build a temple of your order in this province.
To build this temple, you will need a relic, which is obtained by completing the same adventure several times. This will bring you an Okki Tablet (green). If you combine 2 of them, it will give you a Founder's Ring (blue).
A green relic will create a medium-sized temple, a blue one a large one. You can increase the size of your temple at any time with the appropriate relic.
When your temple is built, you can increase its rank for credits if you have a sufficient number of worshipers. From rank I, the temple will give you an endurance bonus as well as its Prestige equivalent.
In addition, you can build a chapel. These chapels will give you a bonus on a secondary statistic (critical chance for example). You have 8 possibilities per province. For a chapel, you need a relic and credits with a limitation: your relic must be of a rarity less than or equal to that of the temple (no blue chapel in a green temple).
You can build several chapels per province, however, you can only have one active at a time. You will therefore have to choose the bonus you want (changeable outside combat).
To finish on this topic, the value of the chapel bonus will depend on the chosen follower in the province. A gray follower will not activate any, a green will activate the full bonus of a green chapel but only half that of a blue one, while a blue follower will activate the full bonus whether the chapel is blue or green , And so on.
Progress to better serve
We saw previously that the followers were defined by their level of experience, their rank and their rarity. The level, which increases by completing a mission, will define the value of the bonus statistics and Prestige.
Rank and rarity will determine the Adept's Authority value, as well as his maximum level (and therefore his final bonus values). By going to the Adept interface, we can choose one and make it progress.
To increase the rarity, the training operation is used. It is simply a merger. You take 2 adepts of the same class, rank and rarity, combine them using Offerings and you get one adept of higher rarity.
For the rank, we will use the process of “Enlightenment”. This is only available to a maximum level Adept, and you will need to use the resources you gain from Adept Missions as well as one available in the Market. This will bring you a higher rank, identical rarity, and level 1 follower. Depending on your follower's current rank, this process requires a minimum number of followers.
Finally, you also have the option of transforming your follower into a missionary. This process will cause you to permanently lose your Adept and will earn you Faithful and Offerings in an amount dependent on the Adept's characteristics (level, rank and rarity).
This brings us to the end of this guide to the Skyforge Order system. As you must have realized, this system is very complete and will require a certain investment of time (as well as credit) in order to get the most out of it.
This is a system that I find particularly interesting, reminiscent of SWTOR's crafting system.
