Right now, the main goal for anyone coming into the beta is going to be to achieve their first flag of claim to settle in a nice location. Before getting down to business, do not hesitate to reread the alpha tips, the majority remains relevant.
Copper Pickaxe
If you are not a Founder, you will not be able to directly collect the resources necessary for the creation of your flag which are third party resources 2. You will first have to go to a third party area 1 armed with your stone pickaxe. (Stone Pick) which allows you to harvest copper and agate, as well as various ultra common resources such as earth or stone. The aim is to create a copper pickaxe :
- 6x copper ingot (Copper Ingot) or 600 copper ores.
- 6x agate.
- 8x heart of wood (Heartwood).
As soon as you log in, check where you are (it is indicated in gray on the left side). If in doubt, click on the teleportation crystal (in the air) and teleport to a third party area 1.
There, go in search of copper and agate.
It will also be necessary to recover heart of wood. This new green resource appears occasionally on trees. So you have no choice but to log until you have your quota. Once all the resources are in your possession, return to the center and use the Stone Forge (Stone Forge) to create your copper pickaxe (Copper Pick). The copper must first be melted into ingots (Metal sub-category).
Now that you have your Copper Pickaxe, you can mine Tier 2 resources, well done!
Keeneye Bracelet
It's in your best interest to get through a third party area quickly, even if you have the Founder Pickaxe. Indeed, you can pick up the components needed to create the Keen-Eye Band there, which adds a chance to find rare resources when collecting. It would be a shame to do without.
- 5x copper ingot (Copper Ingot) or 1000 copper ores.
- 5x elemental copper (Elemental Copper).
- 100x agate (Agate)
This bracelet is created at the outfits table (Outfitter's Table).
Claim flag
Once in possession of your copper pickaxe (or with the Founder's pickaxe), head to the third zone 2 to find the components necessary to create the long-awaited flag:
- 300x copper ore (Copper Ore)
- 1x heart of wood (Heartwood)
You can use the DIY workshop (Tinkerer's Workshop) available in the center of all islands.
To make it easier for you, this is what the iron veins (which contain elemental iron) and aquamarine look like. The latter is sometimes a little difficult to find. Look for it beforehand on the world map, it appears as a bluish spot often in more desert areas.
There you go, you now have your claim flag that you can place anywhere you want. The placement of the first flag is free. It will cost you 300 copper ores if you want to place another or move the first. Before moving it, consider putting copper in the claims management interface (U).
