Concretely, the game takes you into the world infested with prowlers of Robert Kirkman, in one of the two communities which have settled in Alaska. On the one hand, the village is the main source of food. It is also there that a doctor works, and that it is possible to find medicines. Except that the village is sorely lacking in the means of heating (which is particularly annoying in this country). It is for this reason that part of the inhabitants moved to settle in a nearby factory, which produces propane, in the hope of avoiding deaths caused by the cold. Except that food is scarce, not to mention the only doctor who lives in the village...
When creating his character, the player chooses to join one of the camps, then he specializes in one of the many professions available.
Every day, through his actions, notably through mini-games, the player earns XP points, which he can then invest in auctions, and influence the world. During the prologue, for example, we had to choose who was going to survive, between two NPCs. One of the twins is dead... with all the consequences that follow. All the events decided by the players during the next few months will become canon of the universe. Some characters may even be integrated into cutscenes and forever immortalized. As is the custom of the universe, the storyline is emotionally charged. The two leaders, Abe and Tara, are charismatic characters, each with a definite way of looking at survival. In addition, they share a complicated past... They were married! This does not help to promote friendly exchanges of resources between their two communities.
I tested for about twenty minutes and, of course, the graphics are up to par with a Facebook game, with simple animations and somewhat random quality mini-games. But the concept does not leave indifferent. The visual novel aspect of the daily chapters that move the story forward is very well crafted, an exchange of small dialogues, sometimes illustrated with a cutscene, which is settled in just a few minutes. If you like the universe, this is the opportunity or never to set foot in this world... and that without the risk of being bitten. What more ? ^^
