There are small guilty pleasures and I admit that sometimes, between two good killings, I like to lose myself in the enchanting world of children's games. Outright Games gave me this moment of calm with four games on the program: Star Trek Prodigy: Supernova, DreamWorks Dragons: Legends of The Nine Realms, PAW Patrol: Grand Prix and LOL Surprise! B.Bs Born To Travel.
Star Trek Prodigy: Supernova
Big fan of Star Trek, it was this game that interested me the most on the list. But I can't tell you about the game inspired by the cartoon for the moment... So we'll have to wait until the embargo specific to this game is lifted! In the meantime, if you wish, you can go to the official site, which already gives a lot of information.
DreamWorks Dragons: Legends of the Nine Kingdoms
The game's story is set 1 years after the events of the 300 movie, Dragons ("How to Train Your Dragon" in English), at the same time as the cartoon "Dragons: The Nine Kingdoms" released in 2011. We play Thunder, a dragon of the same race as the main hero of the film. Unsurprisingly, he has skills related to electricity that allow him to defend himself against enemies. Other dragons become playable thereafter: Bissocorn, Wu and Wei as well as Panache. Each has its own skills, related to ice or fire, and different skins. What they have in common: their ability to fly! They are dragons, after all! Even Bissocorn, which nevertheless looks like a chubby rhinoceros, is not too heavy.
Of course, no blood, the game is intended for a young target, ranging from about six to ten years old. Despite the simplicity, slightly older children will be able to find their account thanks to the challenges. In this mode, the replayable levels gain in complexity after having been completed for the first time. Replayability is also encouraged through level design. This is because portions of the world are inaccessible with Thunder alone, as the dragon does not possess the correct elemental ability. He will suddenly have to come back with one of his friends to explore everything (whether in challenge mode or in simple replay mode).
A nice and family title. The only criticism I would make of it is its purely solo side, even though the four dragons become playable. It would have been interesting to offer local cooperation on certain aspects, such as during the replay of levels, or with a special challenge mode. The game will be released on September 23 on all current platforms: Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Google Stadia and PC.

PAW Patrol: Grand Prize
If you have a child who watches television, you know the famous puppy line: "Paw Patrol, to the rescue!". This time, it's on a race track that we find our rescuers, in a game that uses the rules of Mario Kart applied to the universe. On the program, ten characters, including Chase, Marcus and Rex (from the land of the dinosaurs) and more than thirty customizations.
Thirteen trails are spread across three locations: the Great Valley, Jake's Snowboard Resort, and the Jungle. I do not have the translation of the names of the tracks so, rather than improvising a translation, I prefer to deliver the English version to you: PAW Patrol Speedway Jr., All Paws on Sand, City Roads, PAW Patrol Speedway GP, Hairpin Bends Tour, Pines and Snow Trip, Ski Time, Ice Mountain Freestyle, Pups on the Icy Road, Monkey Temple Sprint, No jungle is too big, Archaeologist Pups and Tropical Ride.
Getting started is easy, it's a go-kart, with a very classic arcade feeling. On the other hand, the vehicles are "heavy" and give the impression of piloting small boats. It's not necessarily annoying, but it's less reactive than other titles of the genre. An autopilot mode allows young players (or lazy ones) to simply steer the car, without having to press the accelerator button. Of course, what would go-kart racing be without the ability to swing things at each other? Elements are to be collected on the track, which trigger special skills that can completely reverse the order of arrival. Unfortunately, I suffered it at my expense....
Playable in four-player local co-op with split screen, a cute racing game to put between all the paws from September 30, on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Google Stadia and pc.

LOL Surprise! B.Bs Travel around the world
Take Overcooked, mix that with the world of LOL Surprise dolls, and voila!
I don't have much more to say. We spent our time linking two parts, and not really detailing the game. Just like the game it is inspired by, the gameplay is frenetic, having to send dishes as fast as possible, all while cooperating with others , for a maximum of four players (there were three of us). The recipes are simple, just one ingredient to combine two or three times, and the plates are ready. At the same time, we played at the beginning, so I guess things get complicated very quickly!
Five worlds will be available, for a total of thirty challenges. The game will be released on October 7, on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox X|S, Steam and Google Stadia.
