One of the presentations, organized by Fulqrum Publishing, the funniest I could do! And here are the games that were presented to me in a good mood. And believe me, some are worth the detour, there is something for everyone!
Hyperviolent
An old-fashioned doom-like that combines weapons galore and the possibility of making quite enjoyable mixes like a double machine gun. The story will put you in an emergency situation where you answer the call of a colony that has become infected, and you go to purify it. It's like before, we arrive and we clean up the mess!
The game is ultra gore and bloody with viscera that will decorate enemy corpses and old-fashioned labyrinthine levels. On the multiplayer side, you will have a co-op with 4 players or multiplayer (Team deathmatch, deathmatch or survival) with 30 savages at the same time. Enough to continue the butchery! The game will be fully launched in 2023, and until then, many weapons and other things will be added to complete the promised roster.
Basically, it's a good old uninhibited retro-shooter that reproduces quite well the sensations of older generation games. Personally, it reminded me a lot, by the style, of a game from my childhood: Zero Tolerance. For those who are not afraid to pass for a butcher and who like old graphics, this game is an excellent release. For the others... go your way. Scheduled for early access on September 8, 2022.
Diluvian Ultra
Awakened by intruders trying to plunder your tomb ship, you take control of Atilla, the undead prince who will eradicate the vermin that will stand in your way. Of course, you're going to do this the old-fashioned way, hacking and slicing your enemies, and feasting on their blood which will strengthen you and be the source of your power.
This old-school FPS is based on mobility to make the style quite edgy. Graphically old-school, you will however have interesting mechanics based on technology, shotguns and devastating attacks such as destructive aerial smashes. You will be able to strengthen yourself with a talent tree that will spend the accumulated blood and offer you new skills.
In fact, this game gave me a funny feeling, as if an absurd melting pot had been thrown... but it works surprisingly well. Once again, you won't have to look for the slightest bit of finesse, but rather have foolproof reflexes and nerves of steel. Reserved for players who want it, but it may have trouble finding its audience among players of our generation. Scheduled for late 2022.
Lovecraft's Untold Stories 2
This action RPG will put you in control of one of 6 characters, each with their own skills, equipment and playstyle. You will have to discover the secrets of the Ancients from your base, in this world where your sanity will be tested and which will change your environment by degrading. To accentuate the difficult effect, you will only be able to save at the start and end of the run... with this roguelite aspect which will allow you to keep your progress in a certain form.
You will have to deal with randomly generated levels, totally random loot and a dark atmosphere based on the universe of Lovecraft and its great Elders. Crafting will be very important, even vital to moving forward and will allow you to be better prepared for what lies ahead. But be careful, the more powerful the equipment, the greater its impact on your sanity. And for those who think side quests are useless, well in this game they are close to mandatory...
Having only seen a presentation and explanations, this game which has comic book type illustrations really appeals to me. Will it fulfill all its promises and keep me going for the promised 20 hours of play? We'll see, I'll probably give you a full review soon. In the meantime, it is scheduled for September 13, 2022.
The Pegasus Expedition
This 4X gives you control of a space fleet seeking sanctuary for humanity battling a disease. In this sci-fi based future, you will need to explore, conquer, trade and find new technologies to succeed. But for that, you will have to compose and play it finely with the 30 factions which make up the galaxy and which will not necessarily see you in a good light.
The graphic and sound atmosphere is really well done and offers you a vast and rich enough world for those who like embellished stories with difficult and risk-changing moral choices. The fights are based on planning and will require a really thoughtful strategy to not risk total annihilation in the long run.
If you like the 4X style of play, this one offers a particular and quite good experience. Not as imposing as the market leaders, it is nonetheless of very good quality and should please its audience.

Really visually pleasing, this RPG with a complex story, will present you with drastic and definitive choices that will change the whole story depending on what you do. Combined with a turn-based and ability-based game system, you will have to choose a position that will determine your advantage during confrontations.
You will be able to build a shelter for you and your allies, in order to obtain different advantages and skills, but it will also serve as a resting place. A permanent blessing and cursing system (until the end of the game) is in place depending on your actions, to spice things up.
This game is quite original and has its own style, but the lack of French translation may slow down more than one, especially for a game of this genre. For the rest, the mechanics and the final side of the game please me enough, but may lack a little twist that would make the title really good.
Conclusion
Everyone can find what they are looking for in these games which are not necessarily the best on the market, but which nevertheless have certain qualities that should hit the mark with aficionados of the styles offered, or with a few curious ones. Personally, I really like Ved and Lovecraft Untold Story 2 which are my cam. However, the lack of French translation on the whole is likely to be problematic for those who have difficulty with the language of Shakespeare.
