If you want to get the Light Chaos badge, you will need to limit the damage during your adventures in the world of Dishonored 2. This is not necessarily always obvious so here are some tips.
- beasts don't count, you can kill as many blood flies as you want.
- infected people are still people, their murders count.
- when it comes to important targets, look for other solutions. Whether it's sparing them or giving them a fate worse than death, there is always another way.
- accidental murders are always murders ... be careful!
- sometimes morally good choices decrease the total. This may be to take into account if you have accidentally killed someone.
- save your game as much as possible. In the event of an accident, you can restart the game when everything is still going well.
- hide the bodies of sleeping people to avoid arousing suspicion.
- pick up items and throw them to distract the guards.
- at long range, you can use sleepy darts with the crossbow.
- plan your moves, observe from rooftops, or use Vision of Darkness to see through walls.

- Sneak in discreetly and use "Steal Takedown".
- Use the "Far Reach" ability to quickly hide. It also makes it possible to reach higher ground so as not to be spotted and avoid combat. When upgraded, this skill can attract a guard and knock them out silently.
- Use "Mesmerize" to hypnotize multiple enemies and walk past them unnoticed.
- The "Domino" skill can be used when there are a lot of people. Bind the targets then use "Steal Takedown" on the first one. They will all fall to the ground, unconscious. It only remains to hide the bodies so as not to arouse suspicion.
- If you are detected, use the "Doppelganger" ability. This will create a shadow which will attract enemies giving time to hide in a safe place. Upgrades allow you to summon two shadows instead of one.
- The "Shadow Walk" ability transforms Emily into a more stealthy form for a short time and can also be used to stealthily take out enemies. Upgrades allow you to reach rat holes and passages.
- Use Blink to walk around the environment without being seen. You can even combine it with your jump to cover more ground.
- Time Fold is very useful, it slows down time and even stops it completely once upgraded. With this ability, it becomes easy to walk around populated areas.
- Possession allows temporary control of a host. By owning a guard, it is thus possible to move it freely, to jump from one possessed guard to another and to possess corpses. By owning blood flies, tiny places become accessible!
- Do not use Ravenous Swarm as the rats will kill the guards. Also avoid using Burst on your enemies as it will definitely kill them.
