Less than a month ago we presented Blackguards 2, the new T-RPG from Daedalic. The game is available today and it is for this reason that a summary must be made on the additions as well as on the points that we did not have time to address. But before reading these few lines, see for yourself the launch video which highlights the different subjects mentioned in the article very well.
No less than four characters will be playable from the start of your journey. Remember, Cassia, the main heroine, wants to take over the "Shark Throne" at all costs. So she takes with her a dwarf, a sorcerer and a bloodthirsty barbarian.
Naurim, the dwarf, is ... like all dwarves. He is resting on his past glories without really caring about his good form. Years go by and Naurim has fun and even becomes coated. Something that will directly affect your gameplay, since its movement points are lower than most other characters. Naurim will be accompanied by Zurbaran, a dark mage and not very talkative. Takate is nothing but a hardened gladiator ready to do battle at the first opportunity.
This journey will take you south, to the throne that Cassia so covets. Don't imagine having it easy, this journey will be long and hard. Some missions will require you to face your enemy head-on, others will allow you to escape somehow through enemy lines. Each land conquered can then be claimed as belonging to Cassia. The latter must, with the help of her friends the warriors, defend her territories at each intrusion, so be careful to conserve your territories so as not to be overwhelmed.
During battles, many factors come into play, such as potions, destruction spells, armor or even stamina. All these notions are sufficient on their own and it is very clear: the combat aspect has been revised, according to the wishes of the players. To amplify this feeling of listening to their players, the developers have also reexamined the view system (aerial or near-horizontal view), player training or even coverage. It will no longer be a question of clicking like crazy, real strategies can be established on these new bases.
