Blizzard developers have been very active on Twitter lately and have given a lot of details about the changes to stats in Warlords of Draenor.
- Spirit (healers) and armor (tanks) will only be on rings, necklaces, jewelry, cloaks, weapons, and gems.
- Gems will not have primary stats, rather attack power or secondary stats.
- Only primary pieces of armor (helmet) will change primary stats.
- There will be no plate armor with wit or intelligence, but rather secondary stats.
- If we change specialty, strength becomes intelligence.
- Everything that is mastery, critical or haste remains.
As you are no doubt aware, there will be new tertiary statistics to come. All boring stats like Expertise or Hit will go away, replaced with stats like Movement Speed and Health Steal, much like some abilities that trigger on jewelry in Orgrimmar's Seat.
There was finally more information on the multistrike (multiple hits). An addition of x% means:
- + x% to critical damage multiplier and multistrike damage multiplier
- + x% haste / mastery / spirit / readiness / armor
- 2 separate chance (x / 2) to hit each target again for 30% damage.
The spell is considered to be cast only once, so spell-related triggers will only be able to trigger once. Likewise, additional Multistrikes are considered triggers, not being able to trigger anything else. Multistrike relates to spells hit or critical, not misses or dodged spells. Only spells that can be criticized are impacted (therefore not blocking the tank).
Deadly poison can trigger Multistrike, as can healing. Adjustments may be considered on some spells, such as Elemental Overload or Echo of the Elements, to avoid too many spells being triggered.
So here is the summary of everything that has been said on Twitter in 140 characters! Hoping to quickly have a summary that can summarize all this for us because it is still a little confused in my head.
