The Cartel Market underwent some changes during update 4.0, for better readability and especially better accessibility to items for sale.
Let's take a look at the changes made.
Scarcity
Formerly "rare", "super rare" and "ultra rare", the rarity level of items in the Cartel Market has been renamed to "Bronze", "Silver" and "Gold". This name change was made to give players a better understanding of the item's rarity level.
Some items have had their rarity level reassessed (for example, changed from Silver to Gold) based on their success with players.
PACKS
Probably the biggest change in the Cartel Market.
- Packs (200 PC): contain only 2 objects. A mount, weapon, decoration, rest and recharge item OR an animal partner plus a level 5 or 6 partner gift
- Supercaisse (1000 PC): contient 5 Packs
- Hypercaisse (6000 PC): increased from 24 + 1 Bonus Pack to 30 Packs
- Packs sous however: embargoed packs are old Packs that will not revert to the classic Pack form, but items will be available in the “Bronze”, “Silver” and “Gold” Packs when removed from the Cartel Market.
The "Bronze", "Silver" and "Gold" Packs are packs updated upon the release of a new item, which will allow you to recover items from the embargoed Packs, which have just arrived or items for direct sale ( for example, Thexan's bure). These packs of course contain items of different qualities depending on the chosen pack:
- Bronze Pack: Bronze, Silver or Gold quality items
- Silver Pack: Silver or Gold quality items
- Pack Or : Gold quality item
We therefore have different types of Packs for each "Bronze", "Silver" and "Gold" Pack:
- Bronze Pack
- Silver Pack
- Pack Or
- Bronze Armor Pack (200 CP): Contains a full Bronze, Silver, or Gold armor set
- Bronze Mount Pack (200 CP): Contains a Bronze, Silver or Gold mount
- Bronze Decorations Pack (100 PC): Contains a Bronze, Silver or Gold Fortress decoration or label
- Silver Armor Pack (550 CP): Contains a Silver or Gold armor set
- Silver Mount Pack (600 CP): Contains a Silver or Gold mount
- Silver Decorations Pack (250 PC): Contains a Silver or Gold Fortress decoration or label
- Gold Armor Pack (1200 CP): Contains a Gold armor set
- Gold Mount Pack (1500 CP): Contains one Gold mount
- Gold Decorations Pack (800 PC): Contains a Gold Fortress decoration or label

- Large Toy Packs (100 PCs)
- Large Dye Packs (100 PC)

Collections
Changes have been made to the collections by Bioware, always concerned with better readability:
- Search and filters in the collections (Possibility of searching by name, objects already unlocked or all, unlocked or not)
- Collapsed categories ("demolish all" button available to collapse the fields you have extended)
- Display of the number of unlocked objects by category
- Possibility to unlock an item directly with the character holding the item in question
Other Modifications
That's not all, other more general changes have been made:
- Fewer items available for direct sale
- The duration of direct item sales is shortened, and only concern highly sought after items
- 1 credit items sold by reputation sellers are removed, they are implanted in the new Large Packs
- Pack armor is separated into three separate boxes: Top, Bottom, and Complement
- The new cargo (Alliance Packs) has no associated reputation. We have no information if the next ones will have any
- Any reputation-specific item (i.e. not available in a pack) will continue to be available for purchase from reputation vendors
