The interesting projects are rather rare currently on Kickstarter, the period not being very favorable to the donations. However, I discovered Antilia, an MMORPG set in a fairytale world with original races, unique gameplay and an innovative storytelling system.
Inspired by sandbox style role-playing games and many fantastic authors, Antilia takes place in the world of Forra, a place filled with alien creatures and eerie techno-magic. Races and civilizations have followed one another, leaving ruins to explore and precious clues to their fates. By day, the world is illuminated by the mysterious star Miirahn, while the flows of magic color the night sky.
As a player, we can walk freely through Forra, whether on foot, in a cart or by boat. Exploration cards and markers help us in our exploration. On Forra, the adventure is not limited to slaying enemies, there are also many possible interactions in activities as diverse as they are varied: acrobatics, fishing, cooking, crafts, mining, performing arts ...
We are a race of the Taipii. They are builders of wonderful cities, artists who create magnificent works, great chefs and artists combining grace and acrobatics. With the discovery of powerful crystals that carry magic, the Taipii incorporated magic into almost every art.
Driven from their lands of Orlia by a powerful enemy, the Taipii sailed south in makeshift boats and landed on the Lantros Peninsula in Antilia. Abandoning their nomadic way of life to build fortified cities for their protection, the Taipii civilization flourished in the peaceful abundance of their new homeland. Until their enemies, the Chatoi, spot them ...
Currently, the main systems of Antilia are completed thanks to a small team of 2 American developers. They created a game engine specifically for Antilia and alpha phases were carried out in 2012 and 2013. This Kickstarter campaign is there to expand the game universe, improve the first versions of the mechanisms and set up an operational server 24 / 7 for players. They have several well-defined objectives:
- Provide a game that is easy to understand and install for new players;
- Ensure optimal operation on all computers that meet specifications;
- Provide as many multiplayer possibilities as possible, allowing players to team up both in and out of combat;
- Allow players to be creative and let them have an impact on the world;
- Continue to grow beyond the Kickstarter campaign.
If you want to get involved in this project, the first level is at $ 25, offering the game and a good playing comfort (including 6 months subscription). At $ 35, you can access the game earlier (beta II). For the alpha, you need $ 50, which also allows you to have 1 year of subscription (a good investment).
