Fall is here and for that the annual Fall Harvest event is coming to Rift, but new information about the upcoming expansion has been presented! Summary thanks to Pîlou @ Brisesol (thank you!).
The annual Fall Harvest event is therefore back until November 3. This event allows players to win, among other things, a new mount, outfits and weapons. If you are a bit lost, you can find our guide.
As for the expansion, we just had a release date: November 16th.
New information has emerged in recent days. Among these novelties, we find in particular:
- The new fortress sieges: we learn in particular that the very first fortress available in the expansion will be "the Skull of Xarth", which is the fiefdom of Queen Una. Achievable both solo, in a group or in a raid, each player will have a role to perform.
- A new area, Ashfall: this area, where we will meet two hobbits, is a fiery region where flames reign, rivers and lava lakes. Players will encounter many threats there and very few friendly inhabitants will be present in this area.
If you haven't been following / seeing the latest news on the expansion, here's what we've already been shown:
areas
- Les Maleterres de Gedlo
- The executioners' forest
In all, these are five new zones, two new dungeons and a new raid in the Golden Prophecy.
Soul Recasting
- The profaner
- The saboteur
Increased player level to 70
New game mechanics
- Planar Fragments and New Equipment Type "Eternals"
- Planar Assault Adventure
- Legendary powers
- Adding a craft level
- Increased Guild Levels
- Fortress sieges, open world battles (solo, party, or raids).
The game's beta was originally scheduled for October 13 but has been pushed back to a later date: now! All five zones, two dungeons, level cap, and fortress sieges are testable. Pîlou went for a walk, the areas are very beautiful even if the map is much smaller than that of Rift 3.0 (almost half the size). Several creatures are new and others less credible (being killed by unicorns or squirrels, it's a bit of shame!).
The Golden Prophecy, RIFT's very first premium DLC since it went free-to-play in 2013, will be available from 39,99 euros when it is officially released on November 16.
Thanks to Pîlou from the Brisesol server for the information!
