Foreword
The measurement data used in the game (EQN) Landmark do not correspond to any known unit (in the real world such as meters or feet). A unit of length in Landmark corresponds to the length of 2.5 voxels. Since the game is in English, I present the statistics with their original name.
Quality bonus
The quality bonus increases your chances of getting a better quality item when you make it. We assign values to objects that determine a percentage. Here are some examples (these are not the real values).
- Superior: 3
- Exceptional: 2
- Legendary: 1
To determine the percentage, the value of the quality you desire is divided by the sum of all the values:
Chance of obtaining a Superior = 3 / (3 + 2 + 1) = 50%
Chance of obtaining an Exceptional = 2 / (3 + 2 + 1) = 33%
Chance of getting a Legendary = 1 / (3 + 2 + 1) = 17%
Now that you understand the basics of quality values, we can talk about the quality bonus. The quality bonus increases the value of higher quality items such as Outstanding or Legendary by 1% per point. This means that if you have a quality bonus of 20, you increase the quality values by 20%.
With the previous example this gives:
- Superior: 3 (no bonus)
- Exceptional: 2 * (1 + 0.2) = 2.4
- Legendary: 1 * (1 + 0.2) = 1.2
Chance of obtaining a Superior item = 3 / (3 + 2.4 + 1.2) = 46%
Chance of obtaining an Exceptional item = 2 / (3 + 2.4 + 1.2) = 36%
Chance of getting a Legendary item = 1 / (3 + 2.4 + 1.2) = 18%
Notes : We will make some changes regarding the quality bonus because this part of the crafting system will also change.
