As expected, raids are coming to Guild Wars 2! The date is scheduled for the next update day, i.e. 17 November next. Let's talk about what we will be able to gain from this new content.
First and foremost, there will be two significant new additions to this update:
- Squad UI, essential for the coordination of your group whatever the content you play (from 10 to 50 players)
- The 3 legendary news, namely Astralaria (ax), Hope (pistol) and Never again (staff)
Let's come back to the raids and the various rewards that you can acquire throughout this journey. Once a week, you will be able to recover on each raid boss killed a safe containing multiple rewards like gold, rare / exotic items, elevated or even unique boss rewards. Let's take a closer look at all of this.
Regarding gold and experience, you will receive for each boss defeated 2 gold coins as well as a knowledge manual (gain of equipped mastery). If you participate in most recent content (last path added), your group will be granted call of the mists which doubles the rewards in gold and experience.
Like any content, you will be able to acquire elevated items in your loot which can be traded in the forge:
- Assailant / Malevolent : berzerker, assassin, sinister and viper
- Défenseur : nomadic, chivalrous
- Healer : apothecary, benefactress
Next are the unique boss rewards. This part is quite large because it includes, for example, miniatures, character appearances or guild decorations. A new currency "magnetite shard"will make its entry to help you for example to recover a specific object because you did not have the chance to have it on your weekly chest. This currency will be earned according to theefficiency of your group on the various events of the raid path. It will nevertheless capped at a certain threshold.
Finally, a new collection will appear: legendary armor. It will start as soon as you kill a raid boss and is similar to the Legendary Backpack. If you are successful in completing the first step, you will have a set of Precursors of High Armor which will unlock the rest of all collections for you. The different gifts to turn these highs into legendary will be obtained from the same way for everyone at l'exception some that will need to be purchased from resellers of Maguuma.
