Shadow of the Mad King is the first major update for Guild Wars 2, and it's slated to go live on October 22!
This update will provide new features to all players, one new content to explore, as well as'a ten-day event dedicated to Halloween.
With this update will therefore be added some features! Some of them were announced to us "shortly" and others inferred from the responses of Community Managers during their announcements.
▲ Paid PvP tournaments
Paid PvP tournaments will be organized for teams of 5 players. Access to these tournaments will be through tickets and the prizes awarded will be higher than those of regular tournaments. Participating teams will also receive qualification points which will allow them to register for future larger tournaments. Tournament tickets can be obtained by winning regular tournaments or purchased in the Gem Store.
▲ Commercial Company of the Black Lion
Always ready to take advantage of the slightest opportunity, Evon Gnashblade has stocked up on new items in anticipation of the event. The Black Lion Trading Company will therefore offer costumes specially designed for Halloween and new transformations that will allow you to participate in costume Brawls with other disguised players.
▲ Evolution of Tyria
The evolution of the world continues with the appearance in various regions of new events, acrobatic puzzles, bosses, mini-dungeons and achievements.
▲ And of course: The Halloween event!
Halloween is coming! The people are already preparing for the festivities and Tyria will soon be adorned with splendid decorations and offer new mini-games, new dynamic events and many more surprises! But despite the festive atmosphere, some fear the arrival of Halloween and all that it could bring in its wake. It is indeed at this time of the year that the barriers between the kingdoms are weakest. Get ready for an epic four-act adventure from October 22 to October 31!
