Development of the new Guild Wars 2 expansion is ongoing. In this article, we'll learn about upcoming changes to Mist Fractals, the appearance of a legendary back item, and new features.
Changing Fractals
First of all, the fractals will no longer work on 3 islands but on only one and we will be able to choose the fractal of our choice. The fractal time will therefore be drastically shortened which will facilitate the rise of groups. In addition, being able to choose your fractal can help you finish your successes or even optimize your races.
The level of fractals will be increased to level 100. From the old level (50), the difficulty curve will balance the health of creatures, the damage inflicted it inflicts but especially their statistics. This change will have the effect of making other archetypes more viable for players. It will now be necessary to think about certain team compositions to pass certain fractals.
Another change will be made on the side of Mistguard instabilities. Old instabilities will be replaced or updated. It will also, after a certain level of fractal, undergo several instabilities of Mistguard which will increase the difficulty of the instance. New consumables that can be combined with your other benefits will be available at the Dessa Observatory to help you pass certain difficult levels.
A revamp of the daily achievements will take place at the fractal level, we will have the right to 3 distinct difficulty levels (1-20, 21-50 and 51+) which will allow us to win chests of rewards. Additionally, finishing a Fractal will give you a chance to pick up a Fractal Weapon, High Equipment, and various other items. The final reward chest will contain "Fractal Encoding" which can hold a multitude of items including a mini-professor Meow. This mini Professor Meow, combined with an ingredient from Fractals, can get you a set of Feline Mini Golems.
If you are more of a weapon collector, a new collection will be implemented with Fractal Weapons. After completing Fractal 50, the ACH-2046 Golem will offer you a Crate of Weapons for Pristine Fractal Relics. New skins will be added and available only with the new Fractal Tiers.
Backpack and high materials
Always with the crafts, you can make a new backpack that can evolve to become a legendary backpack. Just like the new Legendaries, they will always be linked to the account. The last manufacturing step of this one is called "Ad Infinitum" and will require you, in addition to materials from all over Tyria, to collect a new item from the recycling of high pieces of equipment.
Recycling elevated items will become a reality with the expansion. This recycling can give you a chance to obtain Dark Energy Balls and Stabilizing Matrices which will be used to create the new high items in the set.
