Fjong is a very small puzzle game available on Steam since yesterday.
The colorful interface is reminiscent of that of mobile games. Small problem however, because my screen has a fairly large resolution and I couldn't find any option to change the screen size. So it's stretched out and not as pretty as it should. My screenshots weren't as impacted though, so you can better enjoy the graphics.
The first levels serve as a tutorial, although there is no real need for it, as the whole gameplay relies on the use of the left mouse click which triggers the jump of the characters, strange birds that do not not really fly (which incidentally is the goal of their game, to reach the sky despite their handicap). By clicking on the bird and holding the click of the mouse, a gauge fills up, until it reaches a maximum. By releasing, it takes off, following the course defined previously.
The first levels are simple, just jump in the candy seal by gauging the jump angle / jump strength.
But as the levels, it gets tougher. You have to use the walls to bounce back or even a swing to throw yourself higher.
And soon other characters are added to the puzzles, adding push button systems, sometimes combined with other elements.
The characters can no longer go everywhere, neither do they jump so high on each other, so you have to think about the order of execution to succeed in solving the puzzle with as few jumps as possible.
In all, 60 stars to be collected in normal mode (20 levels to be completed with 3 stars) supplemented by 20 stars in hardcore mode and many Steam achievements. Easy to complete (count a good half hour without a star goal), much more difficult to master, Fjong is a cute little puzzle game that will keep you busy for a few hours as long as you strive for excellence! Here is my inglorious hunting chart, of course, but the result of a quick first pass through the levels:
