Update 3.0, named “Alcatraz”, is now available in production on all platforms. The latter notably brings a whole new game mode, Expeditions, as well as cyber-rigs, a kind of implant that interfaces directly with your EGO to increase your capacities.
Here is the translation of the new features of the patch-notes:
New zone: Alcatraz
While the Republic of the Earth must manage the fall of the East Coast, the survivors found refuge on the site of the Rock: this former penitentiary island is the starting point of the Expeditions, just like a non-combat zone where the pillarches can be found!
New type of equipment: cyber-rigs
Cyber-rigs are new types of implants allowing you to increase your natural capacities as well as your performance in interaction with weapons, shields, vehicles, etc. Cyber-rigs can be personalized by adding cyber-chips, who will then provide their own bonuses to the cyber-rig. A merchant in Alcatraz offers these kinds of chips.
Shipments
Expeditions are a new type of instanced co-op card, with no real end, and incrementally increasing their difficulty level as well as the quality of the rewards obtained. With this update, three first Expeditions are offered: The War Below, Stolen Purpose and Hellbug Hunt.
A starter kit is offered by entering the following code: ALCATRAZ on your account. This contains 3 Hunter's Requisitions (necessary to launch an Expedition, NDT), 3 chip recovery tools (to remove chips embedded in a cyber-rig, NDT), a cyber-rig of non-common rarity as well as 3 random chips.
Updating the Recovery Matrix
A feature of quick access to the main commands has been added to the Recovery Matrix by right-clicking on the inventory.
